Jacques (Jack) Boisvert, 97, of Mansfield, died peacefully on May 24, 2026 after a brief illness. He was born in Quebec, Canada to Alphonse and Alice Boisvert and was the youngest of their nine children, all of whom have preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile.
Jacques is survived by 2 daughters, Carole (Randy-deceased) and Loraine (Don Jacobs). He is also survived by his grandson, Eric, 3 brothers-in-law and 3 generations of nieces and nephews.
Jacques worked 30 years as a Tool and Die Maker for General Motors in Ontario. He loved bowling and golfing but most of all, he loved his family. His daughters remember him fondly for attending their sporting events, building them a pool and ice-skating rink in the back yard, among other things. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his laughter. He was a great husband and girl-dad, even before it was popular. He enjoyed sharing his skills and building with his grandson. Even though in his 90’s, he would still win in cornhole and card games. Jacques brought much joy and love to his family.
Jacques was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Services and burial will be private. Messages of condolences may be submitted online to Herlihy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Msgr. Edward C. Dunn Foundation at St. Peter’s Church or a charity of your choice. The family expresses their thanks and appreciation to OhioHealth Hospice with Compassus for their excellent care.
