Judson A Schaefer, age 91, of Lexington, Ohio passed away on July 24, 2024 at the Waterford Assisted Living in Mansfield, Ohio following an extended illness. He was born on September 23, 1932 in Rittman, Ohio to the late Arthur & Helen (Cowan) Schaefer. On July 16, 1955 he married Barbara L. Tryon at the St Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Ohio and they shared 69 years together.
Judson had worked at Dominion and Mansfield Tire. He loved football and golf. He also enjoyed playing cards with some of his many friends. He was most proud of his 69 years he spent with his loving wife, Barbara. Judson always had a friendly smile for anyone.
He is survived by his two sons, Gregory (Debi) Schaefer and Steven (Sandra); grandchildren, Chris, Kevin (Amanda), Kylene (Jason) Gibson, Lindsay (Charles) Warrick, Ashley (Jason) Stoltz and Justin (Ashlee) Schaefer; great grandchildren, Landon, Colin and Paxton Stoltz and Chloe Schaefer and daughter-in-law, Cindy Schaefer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Schaefer and sisters, Jaqueline and Jeanette.
Burial was held in Lexington Cemetery.
