Buford Donald Frazier, age 95 of Shiloh, Ohio passed away on April 30, 2026 following a brief illness, he passed away in his sleep.
He was born on December 4, 1930 in Williamson, West Virginia the son of Charles Frasier and Susann (Napier) Frazier. He married Maggie Bowling, the love of his life in West Virginia.
Buford served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. Worked several years for Ashland Oil on tugboats, he also worked as a manager for American Standard for several years. He was an active member of the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church, where he served many years as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and treasurer.
He had lived the majority of his life in Mansfield, Ohio.
He loved watching The Ohio State buckeyes and serving the Lord. He also enjoyed going to the YMCA three days a week with the silver sneakers.
His proudest achievement was when he received a military honor flight on April 18, 2015. Buford never knew a stranger and he loved meeting new people.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Adkins of Shelby ; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Mary Frazier of Shiloh; daughter-in-law, Sharon Frazier of Lucas; sister, Sue Shannon; six grandchildren, Stacey and Ryan Frazier, Jessica Fox, Joshua Adkins, Molly Gentry and Luke Frazier and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Buford was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frazier; mother, Susann Frazier; brother, Doug, Frazier; two sisters, Adaline Thompson and Billie Jean Gooden, and son James Frazier.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church, 512 Stuart Road North Mansfield, OH 44905. Family and friends may call from 10 AM to 12 PM. Pastor Mike Wilson will officiate and military honors will be provided immediately prior to the funeral service.
