Larry K. Bloomfield, age 71, of Lexington and formerly of Quincy, KY passed away Wednesday April 15, 2026 at his home.
Born February 2, 1955 in Maysville, KY he was the son of the late Ersal and Marie (Jordan) Bloomfield.
Larry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a very hard worker who spent many years as a heavy equipment operator. He was very proud of whatever job he was working at the time and enjoyed sharing stories of his workday. He enjoyed buying and tinkering with cars as well as watching football and NASCAR. He loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his children: Eric (Marla Saunders) Bloomfield, Sonia (J.D. Hutchinson) Fry, Deborah (Joshua) Schwilk, Joshua (Shannon) Bloomfield, Kendra Bloomfield and Shlanea Lutz, fifteen grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters: Naomi Lanter, and Lisa Nelson, brothers: Roy Boyd and Frank Bloomfield, significant other Kathy Howard and her children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Erica Bloomfield and numerous brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 2:30PM Friday April 24, 2026 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 2:30 with Bruce Samples officiating. Burial will follow at the family property.
