Gregory Wayne Mellick, 60, of Pomeroy, formerly of Shelby, OH, passed away at 9:24 a.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his residence. Born July 29, 1965, he was the son of Ray A. and Jane M. Schlemmer Mellick who reside in Mansfield, OH. Gregory was a self-employed IT Specialist. He was a graduate of Ohio University, played tuba in the O.U. Marching 110 Band, and was a past president of Shelby Ohio Rotary Club.

In addition to his parents, Gregory is survived by his wife, Kerri Beegle Mellick, whom he married July 2, 1988, in Pomeroy, Ohio. He is also survived by two sisters, Jill (Scott) Danison, of Ashland, OH, and Melissa (Lendon) Parish, of Mansfield, OH, nieces and nephews, Hannah (Eli) Johnson, Corrinn (Chase) Ward, Nick (Mackenzie) Danison, and Noah Danison, Andrew Parish, father-in-law, Bob Beegle, of Racine, OH, and sister-in-law, Kim (Kerry) Taylor-Hull, of Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded in death by and infant brother, Jeff Mellick, grandparents Hubert and Dora Schlemmer and Wayne and Beck Mellick, mother-in-law, Edna Jane Beegle, and beloved canines, Tyler, Fritz, Daisey, and Schultz.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from
2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at The First Christian Church of Mansfield Fellowship Hall, 200 W 3rd St., Mansfield, OH. Private interment will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
