COLUMBUS — U.S. 30 drivers will experience ramp closures starting as soon as April 6 in a bridge replacement project, according to a press release from the Ohio Department of Transportation.
U.S. 30 at the east and west bridges over the Norfolk Southern Railroad, just west of SR 98, will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for a bridge replacement project.
The estimated completion of this project is August of 2027.
Continuing impacts
- Crews continue median crossover construction and shoulder reconstruction work for the bridge replacement project.
- One 11’ lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained with barrels.
Upcoming impacts
The State Route 4 entrance ramp to U.S. 30 eastbound will close Monday, May 11 for 188 days for the reconstruction of the eastbound side of the U.S. 30 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad. The detour will be to take State Route 4 south to State Route 98 north to U.S. 30 east.
The estimated completion is Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026.
The State Route 98 entrance ramp to U.S. 30 westbound will close Monday, April 6, for two days for underdrain work. The detour will be to take State Route 98 south to State Route 4 north to U.S. 30 west.
The estimated completion is Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
The State Route 4 entrance ramp to U.S. 30 eastbound will close Monday, April 6, for 10 days for shoulder reconstruction. The detour will be to take State Route 4 south to State Route 98 north to U.S. 30 east.
The estimated completion is Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
The State Route 98 entrance ramp to U.S. 30 westbound will close Thursday, April 16, 2026, for four days for shoulder reconstruction. The detour will be to take State Route 98 south to State Route 4 north to U.S. 30 west.
The estimated completion date is Sunday, April 19, 2026.
