Ellen Marie Borror, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
She was born December 18, 1939, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Leland John Wise and Dorothy (Flickenger) Wise.
Ellen worked at the YMCA for more than 22 years before retiring. She was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life, especially those that brought her together with family and friends. Family was the most important thing to Ellen, and she especially cherished the time she spent with her grandbabies.
In her free time, Ellen enjoyed watching television, listening to old country music and rock and roll, and participating in activities such as bingo. She had a love for staying active and enjoying the company of others.
Ellen will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the many memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by children Larry (Lisa) Wise, Vickie Wise, Ronald (Heather) Wise; step-children Sheri Lewis, Tracy Smith and Harold Lee Borror; grandchildren Larry Jr., Megan, Ethan, Evan, Jennifer (Tony), Dillion, Kellie (Alex) and Ashley (Jordan); great-grandchildren Oliver, Adilynn, Amiya, AJ, Isaiah, Azari.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Junior Borror; daughter Kathy Belt; sister Dixie Kline and brother Lloyd Wise.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Lexington Avenue Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes where a funeral service celebrating Ellen’s life will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 beginning promptly at 10 am. Burial will follow at Lexington Cemetery.
