Odis Quinton “Bottle” Kiser, 91, passed away on August 24, 2026. He was born November 25, 1934, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to Willie and Goldie (Bocook) Kiser.
Odis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Garlene Mabry Kiser; his son, Danny Kiser; and his eight siblings, Carolyn Sue Kiser, Sylvia “Sib” Reynolds, Ottis “Hooks” Kiser, Junior “June” Kiser, Kaye Kiser, James “Romie” Kiser, Judy Mabry, and Elsie Brinegar.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Kiser and his wife, Terri; daughter-in-law, Dawn Kiser; his grandchildren, Jerrod Kiser, Danny Kiser, Dalani Kiser, and Dalton Kiser; sisters-in-law, Toby McDonald and Rosie (Darrell) Bender; and many nieces and nephews.
Odis spent more than 40 years working for Crane Plumbing, beginning his career when the company was still known as Humphrey’s.
For many years, he also owned a drilling rig and drilled water wells throughout the Richland County area. He estimated that he had drilled more than 600 wells.
In 1965, Odis married Garlene Mabry. Together they built a home, raised their two boys, and shared many good years of marriage. Odis was a simple man who never needed much for himself. He found happiness in knowing his family was taken care of.
Some of his happiest moments were also the simplest. He enjoyed visits from his children, grandchildren, and friends, often sharing his many larger-than-life stories. Later in life, there were few places he would rather be than stretched out on his porch swing, watching the cars go by.
Those who knew Odis also knew his sense of humor and love of telling jokes. His longtime “claim to fame” was his Elvis Presley impersonation.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
