Julie Kay Bachman, 77, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away at her residence on June 5, 2026.
Born on September 10, 1948, in Dallas, Oregon, Julie was the daughter of Richard Julius Roeder and Bettie (Weygandt) Roeder. She spent most of her life in Mansfield.
Julie was one of two children and shared a close bond with her sister throughout her life. She enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought her happiness, including reading, working on puzzle and adult coloring books, and listening to music—especially classic and soft rock favorites. Julie had a special love for cats and cherished day trips throughout Ohio, particularly visits to Amish Country and the zoo. She was happiest at home, surrounded by the comforts and memories she loved.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Julie spent more than 30 years employed at TE Connectivity, formerly known as Hartman’s Electric, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of her coworkers.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Roeder and Bettie (Weygandt) Roeder England, and by her son, James Newman.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Bachman; her daughter, Tammy (Kenneth) Kruso; her sister, Carol Cogar; her grandson, Eric Kruso; her granddaughter, Angela Kruso; and her nephews, Harvey Doncoes, William Doncoes, and Harley Doncoes.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday June 11, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, OH 44902. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
