MANSFIELD — The NAACP #3190 will host its 27th annual Minority Health Fair on April 25 at Providence Baptist Church.
The free event is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 112 W. Sixth St.
This year’s health fair is chaired by Danielle Saffold, a community leader, mother of three, Court Appointed Special Advocates volunteer and member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Saffold holds a degree in bioscience and has worked at The Timken Company for 27 years. She has also been a member of NAACP #3190 for four years.

Saffold said her goal for this year’s event is to focus on overall well-being, including physical, mental, financial and emotional health.
“This health fair is about more than checkups. It’s about empowering people with the knowledge and resources they need to live healthier, more balanced lives,” Saffold said.
The event will feature approximately 25 vendors offering health information, screenings and community resources.
Three featured speakers are also scheduled, including Jennifer Miller of the Alzheimer’s Association, who will discuss brain health; Joy Miller of Living and Leaving with Joy, who will speak about the role of a doula; and Steve McKinley, who will present information on the Family Stability Initiative.
Attendees will also receive a light lunch and have the opportunity to participate in a gift card drawing.
Organizers said the Minority Health Fair continues to serve as a key community event, connecting residents with resources aimed at improving overall health and well-being.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact NAACP #3190.
NAACP #3190 is committed to advancing equity, opportunity and well-being through advocacy, education and outreach initiatives, according to organizers.
