Michael “Mike” Joseph Spade, 71, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born on November 21, 1954, in Crestline, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Eileen (Tuscan) Spade.

He proudly and honorably served four years in the United States Navy before beginning a long and dedicated career as an electrician at ArcelorMittal. Known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft, he spent many years there before retiring in 2017.

Mike was a good and hardworking man who found joy in the simple things he loved most. He had a deep passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, spending many happy hours riding and working in the garage, always tinkering and fixing something with his hands. He also enjoyed collecting firearms and took pride in his collection over the years.

Mike dearly loved his two loyal boxer dogs, Diamond and Coal, who were never far from his side. Whether out for a ride, working on a project, or relaxing at home with his beloved dogs, he will be remembered as a good man with a big heart, whose quiet passions and steady presence meant so much to those who knew him.

Left to cherish Mike’s memory are his children, Emily Thomas, Victoria (Thomas) O’Neil, and Jordan Spade; his siblings, Terry, Gianna, Pat, Rosemary, Nancy, Mary, and Eileen; and his grandchildren, Alexis, Kylee, Keira, and Kenna.
