Raymond W. Stollings JR, (Shorty) 71, of Hickory, North Carolina died unexpectedly
Friday November 14, 2025.

Born July 17, 1954, in Mansfield, he was the son of the late Beatrice (Dolin) Stollings. Raymond had been a Catawba County resident for over 40 years, recently moving to Ohio to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. He was happiest with a paintbrush in hand a passion that defined both his career and his retirement. And he could tell you every building he painted over the years. He enjoyed Fishing, NASCAR, and spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his proudest achievements. He could make anyone laugh. He was stubborn, a hard worker, determined, and did things his way.

He is survived by his daughter, Alisha (Jeremy) Prince of Galion, OH. Grandchildren: Billy Prince Jr., Kaylee Prince, and Payton Prince. Four sisters, Barbara Morley of Mansfield, OH; Sandra (Myron) Murray of Denton, TX; Vickie (JR) Rittenour of Mansfield, OH; and Pamela (Chester) Cobb of Hickory, North Carolina. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends; and his canine companion Tip.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Beatrice (Dolin) Stollings; one brother, Roy
Stollings.
