NORTH ROBINSON — Connor McMichael ran for 95 yards and three touchdowns on just 12 carries to fuel Colonel Crawford’s 35-7 blowout of Reedsville Eastern in Friday night’s Division VI playoff opener.

Brayden Holt contributed two touchdown passes as the fifth-seeded Eagles (10-1) cruised past the 12th-seeded visitors.

Holt connected with John DeGray on a 37-yard scoring strike for a 7-0 first-quarter lead.

Then McMichael took over in the second period. He posted touchdown runs of 19, 12 and 1 yard(s) to widen the gap to 28-0 at halftime.

Holt found Parker Weithman for a 13-yard TD pass to start the running clock in the third period. Holt was 12-of-15 passing for 192 yards and a pair of TD darts.

Eastern avoided the shutout with a fourth-quarter touchdown toss.

C.C. the stats with advantages in total yards (435-211), first downs (21-12), passing yards (233-138), and rushing yards (202-73).

The Eagles will travel to Morrow County for next week’s clash at fourth-seeded Mount Gilead. The Indians (9-1) had a first-round bye in Region 23.

Reedsville Eastern finished the season with a 6-5 record.
