WESTERVILLE — On July 24, Kokosing Construction, along with Help Build Hope and Habitat for Humanity of Knox County, partnered to lead a hands-on training experience for summer interns at the company’s headquarters in Westerville.

As part of the training, Kokosing had more than 60 interns work alongside representatives from Help Build Hope. Help Build Hope is a ministry of CrossRoads Missions that engages groups in framing interior and exterior walls for homes in a single day.

Together, they constructed 68 wall sections for a new Habitat home on Columbus Road in Mount Vernon. The completed wall panels were then transported to the build site for assembly by Habitat crews and volunteers.

The home is the sixth in a 12-home project made possible through the Welcome Home Ohio grant. All homes are scheduled for completion by late spring of 2026.

“Partnerships like this are the backbone of our work,” said Terry Schulz, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Knox County.

“Kokosing’s commitment to community, workforce development, and giving back is clear. We’re grateful to have their interns take part in something that will have a lasting impact here in Knox County.”

Habitat seeks volunteers to help complete this and other homes in the Columbus Road development. No experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.

Habitat extends a special thanks to Andy Fox and the entire Kokosing Construction team for making this project possible through their partnership, leadership, and heart for service.
