SHELBY — It was a beautiful Monday morning to honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces with a Memorial Day parade.
The parade traveled through downtown Shelby as folks lined the sidewalks. A ceremony at Oakland Cemetery followed the parade.
The ceremony honored 34 military veterans who have passed away since last year’s program and who are buried in a Shelby-area cemetery.
