MANSFIELD — If you didn’t catch the intro article, hi, I’m Shelbi. And if you did, welcome back!
Either way, here’s your reminder: Bite Club isn’t about harsh reviews or playing food critic. It’s about celebrating the bold, the unexpected, and the meals that bring people together.
So, welcome to the first official installment of Bite Club, the meal that sparked this whole thing and reminded me of one universal truth: everything tastes better in a flour tortilla.
The spotlight today is on the Bytchn Meatloaf Crunchwrap from Bytchn Kitchen, where comfort food gets a crispy, golden upgrade. It’s cozy, clever, and wrapped in a tortilla; what more do you need?
The first time I tried this, it was one of those classic Ohio days where the calendar said spring, but the weather said absolutely not.
You know the type: 40 degrees, gray skies, and you refuse to wear a coat out of sheer Midwestern stubbornness. I was freezing, regretting my life choices, and desperately in need of something hot. I made a beeline for the food trucks, and there it was: the Meatloaf Crunchwrap, a beacon of comfort.
I took one bite, and immediately forgot to film. No photos, no clips. Rookie move. So, of course, I had to come back and order it again (oh noooo). Luckily, the weather was much better this time, and the Crunchwrap? Just as wonderful as I remembered.
My first thought when I saw it on the menu? “Huh, that’s different.” I love meatloaf. I love tortillas. So stuffing one into the other would either be totally bizarre… or completely genius.
Spoiler alert: it was both.

Picture this: a juicy slab of homemade meatloaf, firm enough to hold its shape, but soft enough to melt in your mouth, topped with sweet, caramelized onions and smothered in savory gravy. And listen, I don’t even like gravy, but this one made me a believer. It’s nestled into buttery mashed potatoes, which soak up all the flavor without getting soupy. Finally, it’s wrapped in a crispy tortilla, golden on the outside but soft inside.
It had crunch. It had warmth. It had that soul-hugging comfort of a home-cooked meal, without all that mess I was bracing for. My brain was confused, my taste buds were throwing a party.
Pro Tip: Go big or go home. The small crunchwrap is just as tasty, but in my professional opinion, the large one holds together better, has more tortilla coverage (aka less mess), and honestly… you’re going to want it to last longer. I know I did.
How did the Meatloaf Crunchwrap come into existence?
I spoke with Angela Frazier, owner of Bytchn Kitchen, who shared that space is tight in a 16-foot trailer, so getting creative is a must. One night, after making her family’s special meatloaf recipe, she had an idea. She loves Taco Bell’s crunchwraps (who doesn’t) and thought, why not wrap the meatloaf with all the sides into something handheld? With tortillas on hand and caramelized onions from their sliders, the rest practically built itself.
“My poor dad, he runs the grill,” Angela laughed. “I told him my idea, and he was like, ‘OK, how do you want me to put this together?’ I said, “I don’t know, wing it!” And he’s a … star with it.”
Now, every Meatloaf Crunchwrap is cooked fresh to order, browned, and perfectly crisped on the outside.
For Angela and the Bytchn Kitchen crew, quality is everything.
“We don’t skimp. We measure everything to make sure each burrito is filled with all the good stuff, not just rice.”
They also customize for dietary needs, ensuring everyone can enjoy it.
“We want people to have a consistent, great experience. And we want them to feel good after they eat.”
Angela credits much of Bytchn Kitchen’s success to family recipes passed down from her grandparents.
“If it weren’t for my grandma, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she said.
With every bite of the Meatloaf Crunchwrap, those traditions are still going strong.
