Gary Allen Mills Sr., 75, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Legacy Nursing Home in Bucyrus, OH.
Gary was born in Crestline on September 19, 1949, to the late Donald and Alice (Page) Mills.
Gary was a proud graduate of Crestline High School, class of 1969. During his high school years, he was known for his talent as a track runner, displaying determination and sportsmanship that he would carry throughout his life.
Gary worked for several years at the former Crestline Wood Products. He enjoyed a simple yet fulfilling life, finding joy in the pleasures of nature through fishing and the camaraderie of friends while playing pool at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859 in Crestline.
An enthusiastic collector, Gary took great pride in his collections of trains, knives, and rings, along with his passion for playing the harmonica. He was well known for his lively spirit and loved participating in karaoke, often sharing laughter and music with those around him.
Gary is survived by his beloved son, Gary Mills Jr., and his siblings, John (Mary) Mills, Vickie Graves and Susan (Darrell) Burchett.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Mills.
Friends may call on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Crestline.
