MADISON TOWNSHIP — Madison trustees Tom Craft and Dan Fletcher met Thursday to approve an ad seeking resumes for an open trustee position.
Following Jim Houser’s resignation after a cancer diagnosis, the board is seeking resumes to fulfill his term through the end of this year.
Applicants must be eligible to vote and must live in Madison Township. Those interested can drop off resumes to the township hall at 817 Expressview Drive by 5 p.m. Jan. 14.
Trustees may choose to interview candidates in the days following resume submissions. Fletcher and Craft said they hope to appoint a new trustee at the Jan. 21 meeting, which will be one day later than their regular schedule due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Madison Township trustees are paid $99.57 per day of work for up to 200 days a year, per Ohio Revised Code.
