BUCYRUS — Bucyrus got off on the right foot, but Colonel Crawford had the last word — and it was emphatic.

Connor McMichael erupted for six touchdowns and the Eagles hammered Bucyrus 58-6 on Friday night in a Northern 10 game.

The Redmen’s Demaris Munn-Page broke loose for a 33-yard touchdown dash just two minutes into the game.

It was all Colonel Crawford, and especially McMichael, after that.

The Eagles’ standout ripped off touchdown runs of 16 and 7 yards to lift C.C. to a 15-6 first-quarter advantage.

McMichael got loose again in the second period with a 35-yard scoring run and an 11-yard TD pass from Peyton Baker for a 30-6 halftime bulge.

Brayden Holt tossed a 39-yard TD pass to McMichael in the third period to start a running clock. McMichael then tacked on a 40-yard scoring bolt to expand the gap to 44-6.

Dominic Dean galloped in on a 24-yard dash, and Roen Thew finished it with an 18-yard jaunt.

McMichael had 158 yards rushing on just 11 carries, and added 57 receiving yards on 3 catches.

Colonel Crawford finished with a total yardage advantage of 412-76, including a 306-to-42 mark in rushing yards.

The Eagles improved to 5-1 overall, 2-1 in the Northern 10. C.C. travels to Seneca East on Friday. The Tigers are undefeated in the league.

Bucyrus falls to 0-6, 0-3 heading into next week’s game at Upper Sandusky.
