MANSFIELD — Final Friday had some stiff competition to draw a crowd on Friday night at The Brickyard.
High school football is in full swing, rain delayed the event about an hour, and the heat index did its usual August thing.
But revelers still descended on downtown Mansfield to experience the festival of live music and food trucks.
Sam Stephenson, with Steve Baxter, opened the show with an acoustic “Americana vibe” set.
Ohio Express took the stage to play its hits from the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, including Chewy Chewy and Yummy Yummy.
Emily Raff was the headline act with band members Jody Odom Jr. (keyboard) and Jimmy Vincent (guitar) each getting a song.
Jessica Hiser filled in admirably for Tommy Barnes as the Master of Ceremonies.
