BUCYRUS — Local law enforcement agencies will be participating in Operation Bridge Days, July 17 and July 18 at the Crawford County Fair.
The object of operation Bridge Days is to reach out to the community and assist people struggling with substance abuse.
Officers from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus Police Department, Galion Police Department, Crestline Police Department and the New Washington Police Department will be joined by representatives from the Seacrest Recovery Center, which is a Detox and in person-intake center based in Willard.
“We are encouraging the public to come speak to us if you or someone you know needs help, or if you just need information on how to get help,” Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent said.
“There will be a table set up with Officers and Seacrest representatives at the Crawford County Fairgrounds near the Sheriff’s Office building.”
Services will be provided from 2 to 8 p.m. for both days.
*If you are coming to the fairgrounds specifically to seek help with substance abuse, tell the workers at the gate and someone will come to assist you so you do not have to buy a ticket,” Kent said.
“However, once services have been provided you will not be permitted to stay in the fair without paying the admission fee.
“You may also contact the departments individually by phone. Leave your name and phone number and someone will get back to you.”
