MANSFIELD — Richland Academy of the Arts invites you to Explore the Artist Within by registering for a Summer group class, private lesson, camp or workshop!

Online registration is OPEN and will be ongoing in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, martial arts, and film.  The summer programs will run from June 3rd to August 16th.

Class registration is ongoing and multi class discounts continue through the summer months and a chance to win a $50 RAA gift card for early bird registration.

New Class Offerings!

RAA is excited to announce NEW and returning Summer offerings for all ages. You can Explore the Artist Within with over 30 dance classes and camps; 29 art classes and workshops; 5 music classes; 6 Martial Arts classes; 7 theatre and film classes and much more!

Music Offerings!

There are more ways to EXPLORE at RAA with the 17 private music instructors who offer instruction in piano, voice, guitar, strings, bagpipes, and more instruments! RAA welcomes NEW private music instructors Derek Roland, teaching guitar and bass; Dr. Cynthia Mahaney teaching voice, violin, and viola; and Thomas Secrist teaching violin, who will be joining our staff of current instructors. RAA’s private lessons are ideal for students looking for a thoroughly personalized and dynamic learning experience.

In addition, this summer RAA will offer week-long workshops for theatre and film, plus weeklong theatre classes to keep students connected through the summer months. Miss Megan, Miss Danielle, and Leapyear Studios will offer these fun learning experiences! Lights, Camera, Action! Theatre Class with Miss Megan

Miss Megan will be offering a NEW theatre workshop Lights, Camera and Action! for ages 7-13. This three-day workshop runs from June 26th through June 28th.  In this three-day crash course, students will learn a scene, a song, choreography, build a set, and design a costume! Miss Megan will also be offering the popular Little Black Box Theatre ACT I and ACT II classes that culminate in a performance. 

Mini Magic Sampler with Miss Danielle

Do you believe in magic? If so, it’s time to add a little bit of magic to your summer! Join Miss Danielle in this mini course that will start students on the path to becoming real magicians. Each session will feature a new trick to learn, a chance to perform for peers with performance tips. This class will foster a love of performing, science, and creativity while encouraging practice as a path toward mastery. Registration for this class is repeatable as each session will feature unique learning opportunities. Mini Magic Sampler is designed for ages 8 and older and is offered in 3-week sessions beginning June 4th running through July 23rd. Summer Film Camp with Leapyear Studios, Jennifer Enskat & Andy Gardner 

This hands-on weeklong film camp is designed for high school students ages 14-18, who are interested in learning the fundamentals of film craft. Students will take a deep dive into the world of filmmaking as you learn the various crew positions from industry pros. Students will be introduced to grip and electric, lighting, audio, and cinematography while making a short science fiction film. This camp begins June 10th and runs through June 14th from 9:00-4:00 with a lunch break.
