MANSFIELD — Jeff Burgess has combined two of his passions in new stores at the Appleseed Shopping Center: Music and collectibles.
The former Shop the Find has rebranded to “Finderz Keeperz,” selling antiques, art, jewelry and coins. Burgess and his team members personally curate Finderz Keeperz’s merchandise.
The 1442 Lexington Avenue store moved a few doors down to a smaller space, with Burgess Music Emporium next door.
“I’ve always worked with a variety of new and used music equipment,” Burgess said.
“It’s a dream come true for me to be working in two genres I love. I’m very passionate about the vintage boutique business and music. Plus, I get to work with an awesome team of like-minded people with enthusiasm and dedication to North Central Ohio.”
Burgess is a keyboardist who has played with The Ohio Express for 18 years. He sells a variety of guitars, cymbals and music accessories at Burgess Music Emporium.
“I’ve collected vintage guitars for a while and am happy to be offering lots of instruments at the emporium,” he said. “We’ll offer rentals, repairs and hopefully lessons down the road too.
“We’re going to be the first brick-and-mortar store to carry the Samsun Cymbal brand, which I’m very excited about.”
The Lexington native said he is also partnering with Second Hand Music in northern Mansfield to offer additional merchandise.
Burgess said he plans to host concerts at the Appleseed Shopping Center and an upcoming “battle of the bands.”
Burgess’ stores are online at finderzkeeperz.biz and burgessmusiccompany.com. They will both be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday–Saturday.
In other Appleseed Center news, Ohio Thrift has opened its doors at 1436 Lexington Ave. and Snap Fitness is coming soon. Discount Fashion Warehouse is also a newer tenant of the center at 1458 Lexington Ave.
