Members must also know the best management practices or BMP’s for buildings with basements, sewage treatment systems, driveways and local roads and lawns, gardens and landscaping.
Participants must also take a general knowledge test and take a soil survey test where they have a soil survey book and they use that to fill out the test.
To even qualify for the State Contest team members must have been the top 5 team members from the County level Contest and be one of the top 5 teams in the District 7 competition.
District 7 is made up of 22 schools ranging from Richland, Knox, Licking, Fairfield, Franklin, Pickaway, and Ross Counties.
Once they qualify for the State then the top 4 team members advance to the State competition.
