LEXINGTON — Lexington coach Peter Them wouldn’t mind if history repeated itself this fall.

Last year the Minutemen earned the No. 1 seed in the Division II Clyde district tournament, won a district title and advanced to the state semifinals for the first time since 2011.

Lex (11-3-0) is again the top seed in the Clyde district tournament and will open defense of its title at home against No. 10 Clyde at 5 p.m. Oct. 19. The winner will take on No. 10 Mansfield Senior for a sectional championship at 5 p.m. Oct. 22.

On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 2 seed Ontario (7-4-2) will host No. 9 Tiffin Columbian at 6 p.m. Oct. 19. No. 3 seed Clear Fork (11-0-3) will host No. 7 Galion at 5 p.m. Oct. 19.

Division I

Ashland (8-4-1) earned the No. 9 seed in the Holland Springfield district and opens tourney play at No. 3 Findlay at 6 p.m. Oct. 22. The Arrows fell to Findlay 3-0 during a regular season match in Ashland in late-August.

After advancing to the Division II district championship match last fall, Madison moved back up to Division I this year and will take on No. 6 Anthony Wayne at 5 p.m. Oct. 20 at Anthony Wayne. The Rams are the 14th seed.

Mount Vernon is seeded 28th in the central district tournament and will visit No. 23 Reynoldsburg at 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

Division III

No. 9 seed Mansfield Christian took a first-round bye in the Division III Tiffin Columbian district tournament and will play either No. 4 Ada or No. 12 Tontogany Otsego for a sectional championship at 3 p.m. Oct. 24. No. 10 seed St. Peter’s visits No. 7 Willard at 5 p.m. Oct. 21.

In the northeast district tournament, No. 19 Loudonville will host No. 27 Northwestern at 6 p.m. Oct. 20.
