MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Police Major Crimes Unit is involved with two assaults that happened within a 10-hour time period overnight and early Tuesday morning.
A man was shot Monday night behind Joe and Mary’s Convenient store, Mansfield Police Captain Shari Robertson said. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The 45-year-old male victim was hit with a single round in the upper left arm, Robertson said. He was taken to Ohio Health Mansfield.
At the moment, MPD has no suspects and Major Crimes is following the up on the incident.
On Monday night, a woman in her 20s was stabbed at 583 West Straub Road.
Robertson said a suspect has been found on the west side of Mansfield and was taken into custody.
Officers were dispatched to the incident at 9:52 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities said the victim’s condition is not life threatening.
“This is obviously new. The investigation is in early stages, but we don’t believe there are any more suspects in reference to this incident.
