It appears north central Ohio on Thursday will get to experience the wit and wisdom of Samuel Clemons, aka Mark Twain.
As in thunder AND lightning.
The National Weather Service office in Cleveland has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of northern Ohio, an area that includes Richland, Ashland, Knox and Crawford counties.
NWS meteorologists are predicting multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday as temperatures soar to 85 degrees with an 80-percent chance of precipitation.
Forecasters said there is a slight chance weather may turn severe, mainly during the late afternoon and evening on Thursday.
The primary hazard will be damaging winds but large hail and a tornado are also possible. Locally, heavy rainfall will also accompany thunderstorms, the NWS said.
New rainfall amounts of between a tenth and quarter of an inch are expected with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Once the storms clear Thursday night, the next few days appear to include clear skies and fair weather.
It will be partly sunny Friday with a high of only 76 and northwest winds of nine to 11 miles per hour. The overnight low will be around 59 with partly cloudy skies.
It will be mostly sunny Saturday during the day and mostly clear Saturday night, with a high near 79 and a low around 59.
It will be sunny on Sunday with a high near 81 and an overnight low of 62.
