Gershwin and Porter on Love
September 30, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeGravity Ohio to Present an evening of Gershwin and Porter:
The nostalgia of old-time radio will come to life on the patio of Dan Lew Exchange on Saturday evening, September 30, at 7 pm. The evening is honoring the unmistakable, humorous, and poignant music of George Gershwin and Cole Porter. Gershwin and Porter on Love will be presented, rain or shine, in a format that calls to mind the radio broadcasts of the 1940s.
Twelve performers will sing and dance to the timeless music of two of the twentieth century’s greatest musical creators, Gershwin and Porter. With the aid of live piano (as well as sound effects!), the cast will take the audience back to the good old days before the advent of television, when the thrill of listening to the radio spurred the imaginations of millions.
Gershwin and Porter on Love will be presented live on the patio of DLX. Should the weather not cooperate, the show will be moved inside Dan Lew Exchange. The show itself is FREE. Food and beverage is additional. To reserve seating at DLX, call 419-522-7699. You won’t want to miss this extraordinary trip down musical memory lane!
