MANSFIELD — On May 11, Third Street Family Health Services will host a Mother’s Day Craft & Resources Fair to help people struggling with addiction.
The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South Park. The fair will showcase homemade crafts from local vendors, as well as resources from community organizations and food trucks.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Third Street’s Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, which helps provide medication-assisted therapy to patients suffering from substance use disorders.
“The fair is a great opportunity to see some beautiful crafts and artwork,” said Emily Schwan, Third Street’s community outreach coordinator. “Plus, it’s a chance to pick up a unique Mother’s Day gift while supporting a worthy cause.”
Hope for recovery
Medication-assisted therapy (MAT) combines counseling and behavioral therapies with medication to create a “whole-patient” approach to treating substance use disorders.
The MAT program is tailored to each patient’s needs and can provide drug therapy, counseling, and behavioral therapy.
Medications used in the program are approved by the Food and Drug Administration and are part of a comprehensive approach to managing substance use disorders.
Third Street Family Health Services offers MAT services to adults, pregnant women, and youth.
The MAT program is part of a broader effort by Third Street to improve the health and well-being of the community.
The Mother’s Day Craft & Resources Fair is free to attend and open to the public.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South Park, located at 100 Brinkerhoff Avenue in Mansfield.
