Candies C. “Little Bit” Taylor

Candies C. “Little Bit” Taylor, age 62, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014.

She was born July 4, 1952 in Wheeling, WV, to Gladys E. (Black) Milliken and Louis Taylor and graduated from Wheeling High School in 1970. She went to the Job Corps of New Mexico and graduated from there in 1972. She retired from General Motors on July 1, 2006, after 30 years of service. Candies’ passions were bowling, singing, and entertaining friends and family. Her special friends were Phyllis, Charlene, Damarcus, Pauline, and a whole lot more. May her soul rest in peace.

She is survived by one daughter, Nicole Taylor Mills; one brother and his wife, Clarence and Floree Milliken of Columbus; four grandchildren, Alexiz Mills, Sele Mills, Willisce Mills, and William Mills all of Mansfield; cousins, Carla Black, Rhonda Black, Malinda Black, and Roger Black all of Mansfield: special cousin, Diane Black; two uncles, Henery and Joyce Black of Mansfield and Marion Black of Columbus.

Candies was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Oneithia Edwards; and two brothers, Will Harris and Frank Taylor.

Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Stone Church Road Cemetery, Elm Grove, WV.
