MANSFIELD -- Born and raised in Mansfield, author Jamilah Ewing graduated from Mansfield Senior High School's cosmetology program at the top of her class.
Drawing from her years of salon experience and her unique approach to storytelling, Jamilah has succeeded in creating these complex characters and putting them in compelling situations.
A constant journaler, Jamilah embarked on a literary journey that culminated in the release of her first novel," The Prototype: A story of True Love."
Heeding the call of her imagination and the thousands of interactions with people, Jamilah decided to shudder her salon, opting to offer a more exclusive, personalized styling experience, and pursue writing full time.
Ehpic Publishing will host the pre-release signing of Jamilah Ewing's debut fiction novel, "The Prototype: A Story of True Love," on Saturday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event will be held at Replenish Spa in the Carriage House, located on 124 S. Washington Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215. Limited edition first-run copies will be available for purchase ahead of the novel's official launch on Aug. 5.
The Prototype tells the story of Jadirah, a woman in search of the perfect love.
Throughout her journey, Jadirah strives to maintain her mental, physical, and spiritual health after public shame and loss. Due to the lack of support and compassion from her husband, she must face most challenges on her own.
As she embarks on a journey toward the unconditional love that she deserves, she is faced with a choice that will radically transform her family and her future.
"The Prototype is a powerful story about love, courage, healing, and evolving," says fellow Ohio author Maggie B. Walker, "I highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever had to overcome uncomfortable circumstances with courage and faith."
Author Jamilah Ewing lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and their four children.
"The Prototype," published by Ehpic Publishing, is her first novel. It will be available for purchase in e-book and print format on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million, IndieBound, and other select book stores. The curated playlist inspired by the novel is now available on Spotify.
