OLIVESBURG — Firelands Conference softball coaches can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Kylie Ringler and Autumn Bailey can’t do them any more harm.

Crestview’s terrific tandem, Ringler and Bailey were selected to the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association All-Ohio team in Division III. Ringler was a first team pick, while Bailey earned a spot on the second team.

The Kent State-bound Ringler was the area’s most dominant pitcher this spring. She was 21-2 with 311 strikeouts and a 0.28 earned runs average in 147.2 innings of work. Opponents hit just .113 against her. Offensively, Ringler batted .469 with eight home runs and 40 runs batted in.

Crestview’s leadoff hitter and table-setter, Bailey hit a team-high .598 with 22 RBIs and 50 runs scored. She had a .660 on base percentage and stole 26 bases.

The Cougars were 22-5 and won a fourth straight Firelands Conference title.

Bucyrus pitcher Caleigh Rister was an honorable mention selection in Division III. She was 14-3 with 178 strikeouts and a Norther 10 Athletic Conference-low 0.88 ERA. Bucyrus was 17-4 overall and won the N10 championship.

In Division II, Clear Fork’s Hallie Gottfried was an honorable-mention choice. Gottfried batted .505 with eight home runs and 46 RBIs. The Colts were 20-9 and won the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference title. Clear Fork reached the Division II district title game before falling to Madison.

Mount Vernon’s Emma Jones and Brooke Radermacher were both All-Ohioans in Division I. Jones was selected to the first team, while Radermacher was an honorable-mention selection after leading the Yellow Jackets to the Ohio Cardinal Conference championship and a berth in the Division I regional tournament.

A Findlay recruit, Jones was 19-1 with 177 strikeouts and a 1.71 ERA in 114.2 innings of work. Radermacher, who will join Jones at Findlay, batted .471 with 13 home runs and 49 RBIs.

Danville’s Maddy Wine was a first-team pick in Division IV after leading the Blue Devils to a 20-8 record and their sixth straight district championship. Danville’s lone senior, Wine was 16-6 with 135 strikeouts in the pitcher’s circle and batted .495 with a Danville single season record 52 RBIs.
