ONTARIO -- Ontario's boys' and girls' teams both earned titles Wednesday in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Swimming Championships.

The Warriors girls' team successfully defended the team title it won in 2018. The boys' team unseated defending champion Galion by a narrow margin.

The meet at Ontario High School had been scheduled this past Saturday, but was delayed due to the winter storm.

In the girls' competition, Ontario finished first with 164 points. Shelby was second with 128 and Galion was third with 108. Marion Harding (57), River Valley (43), Marion Pleasant (43) and Buckeye Valley (35) rounded out the field.

Among the boys, Ontario had 164 points to edge Galion (156). Shelby was third with 96. Pleasant (64), Buckeye Valley (58) and Harding (37) were fourth through sixth. River Valley didn't have a boys team competing.
