MANSFIELD — The north central Ohio boys soccer season has reached the postseason, and already sectional championship games are looming.
The Division II sectional semifinals began Monday with top-seeded Lexington, No. 2 Madison and No. 6 Ontario all advancing to sectional finals.
The Minutemen blanked Mansfield Senior 11-0 in the sectional opener at Lexington. Lex will play No. 12 Tiffin Columbian for a sectional title at 5 p.m. Thursday at Lexington.
The Rams rumbled to a 10-0 win over Clyde and will take on No. 9 Galion at 5 p.m. Thursday at Madison.
Ontario shut out Clear Fork 3-0 at Ontario. The Warriors visit No. 3 Vermilion at 5 p.m. Thursday.
In Division I, No. 10 seed Ashland will host No. 14 Bowling Green at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
In Division III, No. 7 seed Mansfield Christian will host No. 8 St. Peter’s at 5 p.m. Wednesday. In Northeast District action, Loudonville, the No. 10 seed in the Wooster district field, will visit No. 7 Northwestern at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
