Junior High Track

LEXINGTON -- A number of Lexington athletes recorded solid outings at the junior high state track meet on May 14 at Hilliard Darby High School.

The 8th grade boys 4x200 relay team finished second in a personal-best time of 1:37.56, breaking the school record by nearly four seconds (1:41.42). The athletes on this squad included Latrell Hughes, Mason Frost, Dantrell Hughes and Joey Caudill.

Hughes also qualified for the 400 and 800 individually. He finished second in the 400 with a time of 51.75 seconds and 10th in the 800 with a time of 2:10.05.

Levi Hunter placed 19th in the state pole vault competition, clearing the bar at 9 feet, 8 inches.
