Mapleton's Bryar Ramey celebrates a nice play in Saturday night's playoff victory.

NANKIN -- Mapleton scored early and often in a 47-28 win over Youngstown Valley Christian in an Ohio high school football playoff game at Mapleton High School.

The Mounties opened with a 21-0 advantage over the Eagles through the first quarter, and pushed it to a 27-14 halftime margin. Mapleton's power showed as they carried a 41-22 lead into the fourth quarter. The Mounties matched the Eagles’s offensive output 6-6 in the final period to thwart any last hopes.

Mapleton returns to action next Saturday night against John F. Kennedy, which rolled to an upset over Windham, 35-12.
