LUCAS -- Tickets for Saturday night's Lucas regional championship football game are on sale today through Friday at the high school office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Lucas Cubs will face the Trimble Tomcats on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Township High School in the OHSAA Division VII regional championship. Presale tickets are available for $8 in the Lucas High School office. All tickets at the gate are $9 and a parking fee of $5 will be collected by Hamilton Township High School. For just the second time in school history, the Cubs advanced to the regional championship following Saturday's defeat of Waterford by a final of 33-14 at Coshocton's Stewart Field. Up next for Lucas is the Trimble Tomcats, who defeated the Cubs 20-19 at Bob Wine Field in the opening round of playoff action in 2017.

Both teams are in the midst of seven-game winning streaks.

The top-seeded Cubs bring a  record of 10-2 to the game, while No. 3-seed Trimble enters the contest with a record of 11-1 including six straight shutouts. Most recently, Trimble knocked off Canal Winchester by a final of 7-0 to advance to this weekend's championship contest.
