Cincinnati Wyoming trekked through St. Marys' defense like General Patton's tanks poured across North Africa Saturday night in a 35-14 Division IV state semifinal football victory.

Neither team dominated early as the two squads struggled to a 7-7 tie through the first quarter. Wyoming registered a 21-7 advantage at intermission and enjoyed a 28-14 edge heading to the final 12 minutes.

St. Mary's finished the season 12-2.

The Cowboys take a 14-0 record into next week's state championship game against against Girard (13-1). The Indians beat Licking Valley 53-48 in the other state semifinal.
