LEXINGTON -- The margin for error was so small it only piqued the anxiety, but Clear Fork didn't mind, dispatching Lexington 60-57 on Saturday night in Ohio boys high school basketball.
Ethan Delaney topped the Colts with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Brennan South had 14 and Merritt Burgholder notched nine points.
Max Waldruff led the way for the Minutemen with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Kaydan Berry collected 15 points and Isaiah Pack had 12 points.
The two squads battled to a 12-12 first-quarter tie, and the Minutement moved on top 25-24 at the half. The Colts forged a 42-36 lead heading to the final period, and hung on for the victory.
Clear Fork (5-8) earned the victory despite being outrebounded 38-23. Lexington falls to 7-4 and hosts Mount Vernon on Tuesday. The Colts are home against Fredericktown that same night.
