MADISON TOWNSHIP -- Max Waldruff was the only offensive player on either team with any luck finding the basket on Friday night. Fortunately for Lexington, he plays for the Minutemen.
Waldruff had 18 points and eight rebounds as Lex earned a 38-28 victory at Madison in an Ohio Cardinal Conference struggle. Danny Shaffer added eight points for the Minutemen.
Tyler Tackett scored eight points to pace the Rams and teammate Dylan Metz had six points and 10 rebounds. Madison finished 1-of-14 from behind the arc, and had 2 assists compared to 12 turnovers.
The Rams (5-12 overall, 2-7 in the OCC) led 8-6 after the first quarter, but Lexington had the better of it in each period after that.
Lexington improves to 11-7, 8-2 and hosts Mansfield Senior on Friday. Madison travels to Ashland on Tuesday.
