A referee has found that Fuzzie Davis, assistant principal at Mansfield Senior High School, was found to have been wrongfully terminated after an incident involving a sexually explicit conversation between a teacher and a student in April 2018.
Opening statements were made Tuesday for the appeal on assistant principal Fuzzie Davis' termination from the Mansfield School District. Davis was terminated at the April 17, 2018 Mansfield School Board meeting. That action came after she and the Mansfield Senior High principal were placed on paid administrative leave on Jan. 25.

MANSFIELD -- On the night the Mansfield City Schools newest hires were introduced, a parent spoke of a lack of diversity with in the district's staff. Effie James, a parent of an eighth grade student and a Mansfield Senior senior, said made spoke to the school board about the lack of diversity and how that can impact the culture of a public school.
The board appointed three new administrative positions to Martin Linder, Mark Manley and Stephen Rizzo. Linder will be the director of school improvement, Manley will be the assistant superintendent of human resources and communications, while Rizzo is the chief academic officer.
