It wasn’t pretty, gut-tough wins usually aren’t, but Dover wasn’t going for style points. A victory will do, and it was earned 45-40 over Alliance for an Ohio boys basketball victory on January 17.

Alliance authored a promising start, taking a 12-10 advantage over Dover at the end of the first quarter.

The Aviators took a 20-19 lead over the Tornadoes heading to the intermission locker room.

The scoreboard showed Alliance with a 31-30 lead over Dover heading into the third quarter.

The Aviators had the advantage to start the final quarter, but the Tornadoes won the session and the game with a 15-9 performance.
