William “Billy” “Chill” A. Cruz, 29, of Ashland, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center. Born June 14, 1987 in Tamuning, Guam, he was the son of Johnny SN Quintanilla and Jessica (Susuico) Cruz.

He graduated from George Washington High School in Guam and following graduation he started working. He moved to the United States at age 20. He was full of life and always wanted to make people laugh. A good hearted man, he would give you the shirt off of his back. He always saw the good in everyone and his daughter was his world.

He is survived by his daughter, Lavannalynn Cruz; his mother, Jessica Susuico Cruz; siblings, Maelynn Cruz (Curtis Mateo), Temberlyn Cruz, Janalynn Cruz, Johnny Cruz, Jr. and Jay William Cruz; his reared grandmother, Mauria SN Susuico; his father, Johnny SN Quintanilla; paternal grandmother, Guadalupe Q. Henderson; grandfather, Johnny R. Cruz; aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Donald) Mateo, Jeffrey (Lori) Cruz, Jerriann Cruz, Jessica Tenorio (Bryan Villagomez), Tricia (Jay) Gardner, Mary (Brian) Gay and Vincent Quintanilla; the mother of his daughter, Leilani Quinata; mother-in-law, Linda (Ivan) Taitague; brother-in-law, Bob Quinata; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Daniel, Zaedyn, Rayden, Zeke and Laveajahlynn; numerous cousins; his godparents, Jose and Virginia Tedpahogo; and one and only godson, Koa Jacob Topasna.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Veronica SN Susuico; uncles, Fabian Susuico, Larry SN Susuico and Momo SN Susuico; his maternal great grandparents, Jesus and Cecilia SN Susuico; and grandmother, Marylou Hopkins.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland where the funeral service will be held at noon. Father Rodney A. Kreidler will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
