William “Bill” R. Anderson, 77, of Galion, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 at Ohio Health Mansfield.
Bill was born in Warren, Ohio on Aug. 14, 1939 to the late George W. and Dorothea M. (Klingensmith) Anderson. He married Janet M. Bodkins on May 12, 1962 and she survives him.
Bill was employed by the former Perfection-Coby Company, Galion for twenty years. He was a member of the Gospel Baptist Church, Galion. Bill served his country in the United States Air Force during peace time. He was an active member of the Northwest Territory Alliance of the American Revolutionary War and very proud to partake in the reenactments.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Bill Anderson, of Australia, Constance Jamieson, of Mansfield, Becky Anderson (Quinn O’Hara), of Marion, Mike Anderson (Brenda Oswalt), of Galion, and Thomas (Toni) Anderson, of Belgium, his five grandchildren, Kylie Anderson, Emma Anderson, Rayna Anderson, Erika Anderson and Colin Jamieson.
Friends may call Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 5 p.m., with Pastor Steven Hodges officiating. Full military honors will be given at the funeral home by the U.S. Air Force and the Galion-Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
Burial will be on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be to the Gospel Baptist Church, Missionary Fund in care of the funeral home.
