William “Bill” L. Green of Mansfield died Saturday, May 15, 2021. Born September 17, 1942 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of William and Imogene Schulte Green.

Bill was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed the simple things in life during his retirement he enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers. Nothing gave him more pleasure in life than being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Layla. Bill anchored his life in a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church 1332 Middle Belleville Rd.

He is survived by his wife for 58 years, (two months short 59) Herta (Webel) Green; one daughter Denise and Donovan Estill and two sons and daughter-in-law, Chad and Violet (Mueller) Green of Delaware, OH, Todd Green of Mansfield; one granddaughter Keely (Jordan) West, seven grandsons, Alexander, Connor, Corbin, Mason, Ian, and twins Aidan and Nolan Green; one precious great-granddaughter Layla West; One brother Robert A. Green of Lost Cabin, Wyoming; two cousins Claudia (William) Snyder of Ashland and Susan (Michael) Gilchrist of Belleville, Illinois; three brothers and sisters-in-law Rudolph and Olga (Gicanov) Webel, Peter and Linda (Betz) Webel and John Webel Jr. all of Mansfield; two sisters and brother-in-law Frieda (Webel) Gottschling and Anna (Webel) and David Brauchler of Mansfield as well as numerous and much loved nieces and nephews and their families.

The family will accept friends Thursday, May 20, 2021 beginning at 10:30 am at Apostolic Christian Church (1332 Middle Belleville Rd.). The funeral service will begin immediately at 11 am burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church Sunday School
