Virginia C. “Jenny” Lamb, 79, Crestline, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, after a short illness.

Jenny was born in West Virginia on Oct. 21, 1938 to the late Richard H. and Sophia Bertha (Thompson) Crawford. She married William E. Lamb on Oct. 18, 1957 and he survives her.

Jenny graduated from Ft. Gay High School in West Virginia. She retired from ITT Power Systems in Galion where she worked for over 30 years. Jenny enjoyed planting flowers in the spring and in her back yard, the big red rose she planted would always bloom. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Jenny was anonymously charitable. She enjoyed talking with people and had a good heart.

In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by her son, Michael Lamb, of Coronado, California; her two granddaughters, Erin Lamb, of Mansfield and Erica and Willie Laundrie, of California; her three great-grandchildren, Jackson James Lamb Laundrie, Emily Mae Lamb Laundrie, and her namesake, Virginia Marie Lamb Laundrie; her two brothers, Charles Crawford, of Ontario, and Joe and Betty Crawford, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Crawford and Arley Crawford; and her three sisters, Avonelle Hale, Faye Skendrovich, and Opal Valsamides.

Friends may call Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St. Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Chris Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crestline Public Library in care of the funeral home.
