V. Ellen McIntire, 74, formerly of Loudonville, died Friday morning, June 10, 2016 in Millers Merry Manor, Columbia City, Indiana, following an extended illness.
Ellen was born April 12, 1942 in Wooster, the daughter of the late Jacob C. and Donna M. (Robinson) Martin. She had lived in Loudonville most of her life before moving to Indiana to be closer to her family. She was a 1960 graduate of Wooster High School, a member of Greer Wesleyan Church, and a former member of the McZena Community Singers.
She was a 31-year retiree of JacLin Manor and Colonial Manor Health Care Center, of Loudonville.
Ellen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Cynthia McIntire, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim (Carolyn) Martin of Columbia City, Indiana; and two sisters: Juanita Thompson, of Arizona, and Mary (Carl) Daugherty, of Wooster. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Roger McIntire, and a brother, Robert Martin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville with her friend Bob Lincoln officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memory Gardens, Wooster.
