Steven Gerald Hinton, 63, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, with his loving family by his side.
Steve was born January 3, 1952, in Crestline, OH, to Gerald and Edith Hinton. Steve was employed at Strassell’s Machine, where he made many friends. Steve’s favorite hobbies were dirt track racing, vacation with family, and spending time with family and grandchildren. You can die from a broken heart. After the passing of his beautiful wife, Steve lost the will to fight off the diseases attacking his body. His heart was broken and the rest of his body soon followed. With heart and spirit broken, Steve gave up the fight, although he had a fierce love for his children and grandchildren, losig his wife (and best friend) was insurmountable for him.
He is survived by three sons, Steve (Luella) Hinton, David (Jill) Hinton, and Jason (Cheri) Hinton; 16 grandchildren, Max, David, Elijah, Jacob, Tyler, Cherry, Annie, Becky, Dalton, Ronnie, Santana, Jared, Tristan, Trinity, Jenson and Samantha; five great-grandchildren, Riley, Dylan, River, Elena and David; and four siblings, Larry (Janice) Hinton, Freda (Tony) Lieb, Phyllis (Dave) Montgomery, and John (Patty) Hinton.
He was welcomed to Heaven by his beloved wife, Catherine; infant daughter Theresa; parents, Gerald and Edith Hinton; and in-laws, Lawrence and Sara Kendall.
To honor Steve’s wishes, there will be no services.
