Sondra R. (Bauer) Schnuerer

Sondra R. (Bauer) Schnuerer, 75, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Saturday, February 28, 2015, following a lengthy illness.

Sondra was born on May 24, 1939, in Mansfield, to Fred and Francis J. (Baker) Bauer. She was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, and was a member of the choir and the Temple Toppers. She was also on a bowling league for many years. Sondra was a cake decorator for 35 years, and was very gifted in making crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, whom she married on June 25, 1961; three children, Randy (Im Su) Schnuerer of El Paso, TX, Kathy Nusbaum of Mansfield, and Tracy (Brian) Johnson of Wilmington, NC; eight grandchildren, Shane (Katy) Nusbaum, Brandon Spore, Anton (Suzan) Schnuerer, Jason Nusbaum, SuDee Schnuerer, David (Grace) Johnson, Spenser Johnson, and Zachary Johnson; three siblings, Ron (Wanda) Bauer and Marilyn Chapman both of Mansfield, and Sue (Ed) Foss of Wilmington, NC; and her best friend forever, Judy Giess.

Along with her parents, Sondra was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Spore and infant daughter Wendy Kay Schnuerer; and brother, Kenneth Bauer.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD, 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
