Shirley L. Sedmak, 78 of Galion passed away Sunday afternoon, Nov. 13, 2016 surrounded by her family at her home.
She was born March 30, 1938 in Indianola, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Diesel) Scott.
Shirley worked for many years at Village Care Center in Galion. She enjoyed reading books and was devoted to her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons Scott (Christine) Sedmak and David (Terri) Sedmak all of Galion; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
